Vir is an island on the Croatian coast of Adriatic sea located north of the city of Zadar. It is connected to the mainland via a road bridge. The only village on the island is the eponymous village of Vir. Island Vir is one of the 300 islands and islets of the Zadar archipelag. It is located in the north-west area of Dalmatia. Because of the ideal placement on the Adriatic Sea Vir is a suitable place for excursion, e.g. in the National Park Paklenica, Kornati islands with 200 islands and islets, Krka Falls and the Plitvica Seas. Nearly are also located the old croatian and royal town Nin with the smalest cathedral on the world and the 3000 years old city Zadar which heart prolific with hystorical monuments.
The only village on island, Vir, offers you a pleasant vacation on its clean sandy and pebble beaches. Its sea enchants you with its clearness, its climate is enjoyable, while a mild wind refreshes hot summer days.
